The last day to submit an application for the BACB’s 2022 (5th Edition) eligibility requirements is December 31, 2026.

5th Edition Task List is the most recent Task List. 6th Edition TCO (Test Content Outline) refers to the version of the test based on the 5th Edition Task List. Review the BACB's 6th Edition TCO here:

If you apply for BCBA/BCaBA® certification exams after Jan 1, 2027, you will be expected to meet the 2027 Certification Requirements. Review BACB changes here:

Why Behavior Analysis?

Changes to Certification Requirements

If you will finish your coursework or complete your fieldwork after January 1, 2027 you should apply to one of the programs listed below, which meet the BACB® 2027 Behavior-Analytic Coursework eligibility under Pathway 2. (Note: Certification Requirements are no longer using the term "Edition.")

Programs for 2027 Certification Requirements

6th Edition Certification Exam (TCO)

is the 6th Edition (i.e. version) Exam of the 5th Edition Task List.

Education requirements are not changing until Jan 1, 2027. Our syllabi have been modified to include information on the version/edition of the exam.
